Francophone Mobility Work Permit

Work in French outside Quebec through an LMIA-exempt employer-supported route.

Who this program is best for

  • You have at least four months remaining on your current PGWP.
  • You already speak French or come from a French-speaking country.
  • You are willing to learn French and reach the required level.
  • You want to continue working in Canada and strengthen your permanent-residence options.

Basic eligibility requirements

  • French ability at a minimum of CLB/NCLC 5 in speaking and listening.
  • A genuine full-time job offer from a Canadian employer.
  • The position may generally fall under TEER 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, or 5.
  • The job must be outside Quebec and not in the primary agriculture sector.
